I'll be making this again, at the request of Mr. Perfect's family:
Crab Ragoon Dip
1/4tsp garlic powder
5T parmesan cheese
2pkg cream cheese
2 cans crab meat
1/2cup sour cream
2 bunches green onions chopped
1 1/2TB worchestershire sauce
Mix all ingredients in large bowl and bake in deep dish at 350 for 20 minutes.
Serve with egg drop soup chips or crackers of choice.

Hmmm...I'm not sure what kind of budget you're working with, but how about some smoked salmon, a sour cream/horseradish sauce, and some little slices of red onion and some capers. Throw out a variety of crackers, and you're good to go!
Or a variety of sliced meats and cheeses, like salami and proscuitto (which you can buy for about $2.50 per package at Walmart Grocery, btw), and swiss and cheddar and stuff. That's always a hit at our parties.
One of my favorites (but is more time consuming) is to grab some smaller wooden skewers, and then get basil, cherry/grape toms, and some mozzarella (we get it from Costco), and skewer them all together. Then drizzle with some balsamic vinegar, and serve. It'll get eaten up, guaranteed!
