days 18 and 19.

i'm listening to 'a beautiful mess' by jason miraz on the couch on an icy day sitting next to my B and my kolby and for today, i'm content.

yesterday, i went to the doctor because i've been waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe. ironic isn't it? she sent me for a chest x-ray (hello, debt) to make sure the bronchitis hand't turned into pneumonia or a bruised lung or worse. it hadn't. so off i was sent, with an inhaler in hand and a real hate for COBRA and the cost of its premiums.

    do you hate cobra because you didn't pay for it? it has to be cheaper than an xray...
    that's a real gamble. i went one month w/o insurance (august) and i was scared to death to go anywhere or do anything. go america!

    no, i DID pay for it. i've already forked over more than $700. and i've only been unemployed for 3 weeks.

    With the stimulus act that Obama passed you are only responsible for 35% of the costs of COBRA. So, unless your company had crazy high insurance rates it sounds like you paid in 100%. You should check it out.

    jami, the stimulus act was passed, but it hasn't yet taken affect. probably won't even get to apply for it until april...hopefully it will happen soon.

    That's weird. Where I work it went into effect on March 1st. Will you get reimbursed for what you paid for March?
