want vs. need
i want
a family-size house with a dining room large enough for dinner parties.
a screened-in porch perfect for sipping wine or iced tea on 60 to 80 degree days.
a front porch for people watching.
another pair of Sevens.
someone to clip kolby's nails on a weekly basis.
to be walking distance from the beach, the big city, the mountains and a whole foods.
a house to call home forever.
a case for my macbook.
a handmade, really cute, functional wallet.
a new bike.
an adult-sized swing set.
better pots and pans.
to learn to knit.
a comfortable pair of 4-inch pointy heels.
i need
to be anchored.

i want most of that stuff, too.
have ("have") a house with one porch and plenty of dinner room (which i fight NOT to use for dinners).
from the sounds of the beach, mountains, etc. stuff, though, we have a lot of money to save up … to move to one of those places and be able to have a house.
maybe if it was all dining room and porches, with a kitchen, one bath, and a little place to sleep — wouldn't have to be huge. pick the right geographic location and you can dine outside most of the year= no need for the dining room, just like barbecue university …
ps, knit for a few months, a few years ago. made me feel blind and bad at math, but most people i know love to do it

or go by misknits just off of 39th street. Amber teaches classes and she's awesome.
what constitutes functional in a wallet? - cause I know people who make them, just don't know if they would be considered functional.

I'm absolutely superb at turning wants into needs... justification wise if you want to contact me privately. I have a house full of wants ... I mean .... needs.

P.S. Small amounts of wine will help the rationalization process immensely.

You totally misunderstood. I meant that I had a house full of STUFF that were wants not needs. I meant absolutely nothing beyond that.
