since there's no one else around, we let our hair grow long and forget all we used to know. then our skin gets thicker from living out in the snow.

change.

if change is good, how come it's so hard?

    Change sometimes isn't good but we end up adapting and accepting it anyway and then we call it building character. And sometimes it is good and we call it success.

    I've noticed that the "good" part of change usually comes well after we've grown used to whatever the change affected in our lives/routines. In which case its not so much like "change" anymore as it is just the way things are at that time.

    It's hard first. THEN it's good. :)
